This application is the successor to the "KENWOOD Drive Info. Limited-time Free Version" released for free until February 3, 2014. It is an application that allows you to use some of the content for a fee. It can be used with JVC Kenwood car navigation systems that support this feature (referred to as "car navigation" below). We also provide some content that can be used free of charge. We have also added new features.

KENWOOD Drive Info. is a feature-enhanced application that allows you to add various convenient functions, such as receiving real-time traffic congestion information, to your car navigation system by connecting it to an iPhone or a JVC Kenwood car navigation system. It significantly improves the freshness and usability of the information provided by the car navigation system.

Instructions for using the application:

The download of this application is free. There are both free and paid content available for use. Paid content can be used by making in-app purchases.

Overview of Key Features:

1. Smart Loop Traffic Information™ (Paid Feature): This service shares real-time probe data of car navigation systems that support this feature and Pioneer car navigation systems, providing real-time traffic congestion information on roads covering approximately 700,000 kilometers nationwide, along with VICS information. The received data can be displayed on the car navigation system's map screen, showing not only traffic congestion information at the current location but also ahead when scrolling.
2. On-Demand VICS (Paid Feature): It allows you to obtain VICS traffic congestion information around your current location and display it on the car navigation system's screen. It can also show traffic congestion information ahead when scrolling on the navigation screen.
3. Parking Lot Availability (Paid Feature): You can obtain information about parking lot availability (full or empty) and display it on the car navigation system's screen. Please note that the number of parking lots for which information can be obtained is limited.
4. TV Spots (Paid Feature): It allows you to obtain information about restaurants and tourist spots featured in TV programs and display them on the car navigation system. Since it also enables setting these spots as destinations, it is very convenient.
5. Gasoline Station Price Information (Free Feature): You can obtain gasoline price information for any desired location and display it on the car navigation system's screen. You can also search for nearby gasoline stations and check their prices at the same time.
6. Weather Information (Free Feature): It allows you to obtain nationwide weather forecast data and display it on the car navigation system's screen. By synchronizing with latitude/longitude information, you can get pinpoint weather forecasts and weekly weather forecasts. For models with a weather widget on the car navigation system's HOME screen, it is also possible to display weather information on the widget.
7. Free Word Search (Free Feature): While the destination search of a regular car navigation system searches for information related to input keywords from the database stored in the car navigation device itself, by connecting to this application, it becomes possible to perform information searches on the Internet server. This enables a significant increase in the amount of retrievable information and destination searches with higher freshness.

Supported Language:

"KENWOOD Drive Info." is only available in Japanese.

Important Information:

In order to use this application, the navigation software version of the connected car navigation system must be in the following condition:

• MDV-Z701W/Z700/X701W/X701: Version 1.2.0025.xxxx or later
• MDV-Z700W/Z700/X500/R700: Version 1.7.0065.xxxx or later

If the version is older than the above conditions, a firmware update for the car navigation system will be required. Please check the Kenwood website for further details.
